Argomenti del programma: The course provides an introduction to urban and regional economics, with a specific emphasis on cities, urban markets and urban policy. After an introductory discussion on the historical emergence and evolution of cities, the course studies how economic forces shape the location choices of households and firms, the internal structure of cities, and the relationship between cities and their surrounding regions.
