Argomenti del programma: Review of macroscopic balances of mass, energy, and momentum; differential transport equations; and Fick’s, Fourier’s, and Newton’s laws. Mass diffusion. Examples of the solution of typical problems based on these equations: e.g., film condensation, penetration theory (mass and heat), natural convection, steady-state diffusion with chemical reaction.
