Argomenti del programma: The course is divided in three parts: (a) complements of structural analysis; (b) behaviour and design of steel structural members; (c) behaviour and design of reinforced concrete structural members. A- Structural Analysis Basic statically determinate members: simply supported beam, cantilever, trussworks. Basic redundant structures: continuous beams solved using the force method.
Argomenti del programma: Introduction to the role of structural analysis in structural design and verification. Structural theories – beam theory: kinematic model; generalized static and kinematic variables; equilibrium and compatibility equations; simplifying assumptions (slender beam); the general beam equation (elastic curve equation).
