Argomenti del programma: Antennas The course aims to provide the student with the basis of radiation theory and of the main concepts of antenna engineering. After introducing radiation theory, the main antennas topologies are introduced with a view to their application field (telecommunications, remote sensing, telemetry).
Argomenti del programma: Introduction. Circuit components from the electromagnetic point of view, distributed- vs lumped-parameter circuits. Guiding structures. V/I waves in transmission lines. E/H waves in uniform structures with ideal conductors: TEM, TE/TM and hybrid modes; fundamental and higher order modes (recalls).
