Argomenti del programma: The course is divided into three parts. The first part aims to clarify the boundaries of the discipline, the semantic system underlying it, as well as the theories concerning the adoption of alphabetic writing in ancient Greece. The second part, entitled “The Greek Epigraphy of Rome”, will be an in-depth examination of Greek epigraphic material from Rome and Latium vetus.
